Do you remember?
When it felt hard, but God made it beautiful.
At times, life can feel very fragile. The noise of the world, the remarks from people who say words that hurt, the chaos that the enemy tries to create, and the pain buried deep in the heart of years of fighting to maintain a positive outlook.
But we keep fighting the good fight of Faith.
It is a spiritual war every day—the battle between the flesh and the Spirit.
Galatians 5:17
“For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.”
How do you quiet the mind and stay focused on Jesus?
Philippians 4:8
“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable — if anything is excellent or praiseworthy — think about such things.”
James 4:7
“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
Do you remember a time when life threw something at you that totally shook you to the core? When you were thrown into a whirlwind that you felt would never end? When fear tried to consume you, but you Stopped, took a deep breath and remembered who fights for you. Your Peace Returned, and your focus was once again on Jesus Christ.
I think we have all had these times in our lives.
How we react to these times determines our Peace through the storms, through the chaos, and through the pain.
Do we take it upon ourselves to navigate the journey set before us, or do we STOP and allow God to fight for us?
Exodus 14:14
“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
James 1:3-4 gives us a clear understanding of why these trials are allowed at times.
“Because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”
When we live out the gospel in our lives and trust God through it all, we quickly realize that our peace has been restored, the noise, the words, and the clutter in our thoughts leave.
It is a great feeling to know, deep in our hearts, that we have a Savior who knows and sees everything. He is our Father. He is our Redeemer. He is our friend. We can trust Him in every storm and season of our lives.
Psalm 46:10
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
Galatians 2:20
“I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by Faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”
Lord, we come to you today in humility, asking for Your strength and peace. May we look to You in everything. I pray we seek to walk in Your Spirit and not our flesh. Help us, Lord, to be still and know that you are God. You have already won the victory, and we Thank You for continuing to encourage us to fight the good fight of Faith every day. You are our Peace, You are our Savior, You are our Father, You are our friend, and You know us by name. Thank you for loving us, ALWAYS. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen
We can’t allow our emotions to control us. We have to look to Jesus for all of Life’s answers.
1 Peter 5:8
“Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”
Smile today, tell someone you love them, give someone encouragement, and love as Jesus does. God is Love.
Celebrate the Victory in Jesus — Our redemption is drawing near.
God makes everything beautiful in His time.
