Faith Is Believing
Even when you can't see...
It is so easy to write when life feels easy, when you feel you’re on the mountaintop with God and all is well with your Soul.
The hard times make it harder to write; however, it’s in these times that God is working the greatest. It’s in these times that healing comes, hearts become new, and when we understand this, the light of Jesus begins to shine through our hearts, regardless of what we endure.
As I write here, I seek to write what God has put in my heart. Each time, I can feel the power of God in every sentence. I can feel the healing, the encouragement, and His love. He isn’t speaking only to you; he is speaking to me, too.
He gives us each other to walk through life with.
What a blessing. What a gift.
This season of writing has been one of the best because I believe God is restoring the broken pieces of my heart.
I pray in my writings that God will also use them to restore the broken pieces in your heart.
I seek to live what I write, daily. Sometimes, I fail. One example is:
1 Thessalonians 5:18
“In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
When we are going through a tough trial, our emotions take us to places in our mind that we would prefer not to go. We start questioning everything. Our confidence changes, our hearts become fearful, and at times, we don’t know which way to turn. These thoughts, these fears, are not of God.
We must be vigilant at all times. Our emotions can get the best of us if we are not careful.
1 Peter 5:8
“Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”
I am learning that when the world comes at me with distractions, it is important to STOP, PRAY, and remember:
Exodus 14:14
“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
God has more to teach me. Trials will come and go.
God promises we will have trials and tribulations in James 1:2-4:
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”
We may feel as if we are on the mountaintop one day and the next, in the valley. We may write encouraging words one day, and the next re-read them ourselves for the same encouragement. It is in all these moments that God is working out all things for our good. Romans 8:28
Faith is believing what we can’t see.
Hebrews 11:1
“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”
Stay strong in the Lord, stay encouraged, and continue to fight the good fight of faith because He cares for you. His love endures forever. He will be with us until the very end.
Lord, it isn’t easy to always thank you for the trials that come our way. We thank You for continuing to show us that we can trust You as You remind us to be still and focus on You. May we allow You to fight for us in the battles of our lives. Thank You for always encouraging us to keep walking forward, one step at a time, one day at a time, and not allow the enemy to distract us with His lies. Continue to lead, guide, and direct us in Your Will and Yours alone. You, Lord, are our great Shepherd, our Father and our Friend. Thank You! In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen
Thank you for reading and allowing me to share my heart with you.
Always believe and never give up!
John 11:40
Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the Glory of God?”
I Believe!
